Fashion Forward Friday ~ Week 2

I'm really starting to enjoy Fashion Forward Friday.
{read more about FFF HERE}
I had this particular fabric set aside for just this idea.

Isn't it awesome?
Want the fabric for yourself?
It is from Riley Blake's Chevron collection and you can purchase it HERE
as our favorite Skye Reve Fabrics has sold out.

I paired it with awesome navy blue polka dots.
Again, from Riley Blake.
I knew I wanted this to be a little more subtle so that is why I chose
the navy blue rather than the red or orange to accent with.

Here is what one lucky little girl will be wearing.

And let me show you a close up of the pretty bow.
You know we love us some Melbows Place!

Here is the rundown on what I did with the basic peasant dress.
~ Cut the sleeves at the 1/2 way point and added a ruffle.
~ Added ruching right above the sleeve.
~ Added ruffling at the bottom of the dress.
~ Added a "squiggle" ruching on the bottom of the dress.

Andrea and I love being challenged and we often talk
about what our next design is going to be.
Andrea is up next and I think you all are going to LOVE what she makes.

And...in other blogging news,
I hope to have a few tutorials up sometime this month.
I just wish I had more time!

Anyone know where I can find 48 hours in a day?
It would be much appreciated!

Happy Monday Peeps!

Aviary Sparrow in Plum ~ Tunic Dress

Ah, the Aviary Sparrow in Bark went somewhat "viral".
The Sparrow in Plum is just as gorgeous.
{gotta love PicMonkey for fabulous & easy collages}

Don't mind the sassy girl wearing the dress.
But I gotta say that she has that "look" down pat!

This particular order is for Lauren's girls.
And these will be worn for photos with the FABULOUS Candace.
{if you haven't, go check out Eye Candy by Candace, you MUST}

Honestly, I can't wait to see the results.

Below is a new {SIG} tweak to an old pattern.
We added the sash rather than ribbon ties.
And instead of the typical bow, we knotted it instead.

I love how the fabric hangs down!

I love the shot below.
I love the fence.
The green on the fence (mold or what ever it is).
The rotting of the fence.

Told the hubs he can't ever take the fence down.
{i'm sure the termites will do the job gladly}

No matter all the nonsense I talking, this fabric is amazing.
Joel Dewberry really outdid himself with this collection and the palettes of color.
As a matter of fact, I am drooling over the Herloom Collection, in Citrine.

Anywho, we are currently taking orders for this awesome fabric.
Through October 1st to be exact!
If you would like to order, make sure to click on the photo below and follow instructions.

That's all I have for tonight.
My son has a raging ear infection and has first class accommodations
in bed next to his momma and he is insisting that we go lay down.
Must be tough being a 4.5 year old boy.

Good night peeps!
Hope to see you tomorrow, I have another pretty outfit to share!

Sheelin's Closet ~ French Marketplace Collection

Many of you know The A Team was chosen to be
the seamstresses for a new clothing brand called Sheelin's Closet.
And we have been working hard with Nicole
to sew out her first collection, The French Marketplace.

Nicole has an awesome eye for vintage inspired fabric.
An even better eye for capturing the French style.
And what I love even more about this partnership
is that {SIG} wouldn't otherwise delve in to this
awesome style of vintage and French combined.

Nicole has decided to sponsor a giveaway.
Details have yet to be ironed out.
But it will be worth you entering.
These pieces are absolutely precious.

Perfect for a family photo shoot.
Maybe the first day of school.
Or for that special occasion that is coming up.
With the quality of our sewing and Nicole's designs,
it is definitely a win-win situation.

Here are some of the pieces we have completed.

The Annabelle Ruched Pants in Red Stripe and Blue Stripe

The Millies in red and blue

The Marie Claire Peasant Dress

The Vintage TeaPot Apron

The Charlotte Bloomers in Eyelet and Red Floral

The Estella Market Skirt

There are still a few more pieces that need to be completed
but you can totally catch the essence of the French Marketplace.

Through tomorrow, you can place an order for any of these pieces
and receive a 12% in honor of the Olympic Games!
AND, on Tuesday, I will announce the giveaway.

Be on the lookout and if you like what you see,
don't hesitate to purchase!
This collection will only be available while supplies last.
And you are helping {SIG} out as well!

We want to see Sheelin's Closet succeed and we hope you do to!
