We are BACK!

We are back after a Christmas vacation hiatus!
There are so many neat things happening this year for {SIG}.
I can't wait to share it with you all.

First, Happy New Year!
2013 is shaping up to be an amazing year here at {SIG}.
The little business is growing quickly.

So much so, that we have once again outgrown our workshop.
So what does that mean?
It means we are going to BUILD a new cottage.

Yep, a real workshop.
One that will give my home back its dining room.
And more space to do more things!

Plans are already underway.
The area will be staked this weekend.
But the preliminary plan is to have it behind the garage.

The new cottage will be 16' x 16'.
This is a little of what we are planning on having in there...

Shelves for storing.
Sewing workbench.
Room to teach.
A product photography area.
A shipping table.
 A front porch.
French doors.
Plenty of windows for natural light.

We are so absolutely excited!
Having this space means that we will have room to grow.
Room to teach & host workshops.

We won't feel cramped.
I cannot wait!
And, best of all, I will be building it with my Daddy.

I will chronicle the building of the cottage.
I know you are going to be curious to see!
We hope that by March, it will be fully functional.

So there you have it.
The first post of 2013.

And I can't write a post without photos.
So for your viewing pleasure,
here are the family pics that the wonderful Candace took.

My sweet, little family.

My gorgeous blue-eyed boy, Ian.

The ever so sweet Gabi.

Always sweet & a bit of sassy, Sofi.

They ARE triplets in every sense of the word.
I love how they love each other.

The hubs & I.

Possibly my favorite photo from this shoot!

And you guessed it, Andrea & I made those beautiful outfits.
If you are wanting some of that gorgeous fabric to be made in
to something for you, be on the lookout on the Facebook Page.

The {SIG} family hopes you all had a wonderful holiday season!
Happy 2013 Peeps!

Save the Date Events

Man, I am having serious writer's block.
This is why I haven't been blogging.
Trust me, I have tried to sit down several times but I end up
just staring at the screen and coming up blank.

I should really keep a journal of ideas.
It seems like the logical thing to do.
But alas, logical doesn't cross my path much these days.

Beyond writer's block, {SIG} has been extremely busy!
We are getting ready for a couple of events in November.
Wish we could have tackled a bigger craft show but it just wasn't in the cards this year.

Instead, we will be out at Wine Styles on November 3rd
for a fun filled afternoon of wine tasting and shopping.
This will be our first time to attend this event and we
will be catering more to the adults with a great selection of
infinity scarves, Millie Totes, & {SIG} Totes.

But don't worry, we will also have some premade outfits
for both Turkey Day and Christmas so come on by!

The following weekend, we are hosting A Day with Amy Photography Workshop.
This is an all day event on November 11th from 9am to 5pm.
Lunch and snacks will be provided!
Trust me, it is worth the money to learn how to shoot your
camera out of "auto" mode!
Not only that, you get to hang out with Andrea and I for the day!!!

Finally, on November 18th, we will be hanging out at The Carriage House
with the fabulous Candace for photos with Santa!
Check out all the deets HERE.
The event starts at 1 and ends at 5.
There will be some great vendors there including the awesome Melbows Place!

There you have it.
The events of November.
Then maybe we can breathe a little.
Just a little.

Enjoy your Wednesday peeps!
I know I have lots of work to get wrapped up!

3 Kids and a Wedding Dress

I'm not sure where I got the idea.
Maybe I saw it somewhere?
Pinterest?

Who knows.
What I do know is it had to be done.
I had to get my wedding dress out and get photos of the kids with it.

You know, the ultimate dress up session.
Mommy's wedding dress + triplets + Candace + sunset = PERFECTION.

Isn't this the most gorgeous shot?
I am completely in love with these 3 children.

Gabi is our China doll...such a perfect little face!

Sofi is so vogue...couture for sure.
She LOVES to model.

This little boy is the sweetest...he has stolen my heart!

Ya know I had to get in the shot somehow.
Why not with Daddy's tie around my head!

We had so much fun.
This was by far the best photo shoot we have ever had.
The kids were completely in to it.

Here is the lowdown on the goodies for the shoot...
~ Eye Candy by Candace "Orange Crush" Mini Session ~
{Orange Crush is the beautiful couch}
~ Girl's bloomer design by Sheelin's Closet, sewn by me ~

~ Wedding dress, 7 years old ~

And that's it folks.
I had to share with you all the wonderful talents that came together
to make this one very special photo shoot.
These photos were used to make a collage that I gave to my hubs
for our SEVENTH wedding anniversary.
He loves it and so do I.

Now, are you going to schedule a photo session
with your kids and your wedding dress?
Hopefully it inspires you!

Hope your Thursday is fabulous!
