A special project for a very special friend!
Joy's Hope is addicting.
Why?
Because her projects aren't hard
AND...
Because she is an inspiration.
Her story & her love of life is amazing.
Most of all, it inspires me to give to others.
For this project, I could only think of one person.
A dear friend that has struggled w/ pregnancy loss & infertility.
Brandi
She is the sweetest, kindest, most wonderful & caring human being.
She deserves more but has been dealt a pretty harsh card.
So they decided to adopt.
Then came the nursery theme,
The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
And...
there is fabric that matches the illustrations from the book!
My inspiration.
She asked for me to put "DREAM" on there.
Because her dream was coming true this year.
She would have a child in her arms by Christmas.
So very exciting!
This is it.
I hope she loves it.
All I want is for Brandi's dreams to come true.
This is the year.
LOVE YOU!

Professional Photography
My friend, Adrienne & I made a deal. If I sent her a tutu/bow combo, she would take pics & allow me to use them. I jumped all over it. As a matter of fact, we have a couple of things in the works & although miles & miles separate us, this is becoming quite a project! Here are some of her photos.
Isn't she good?

Scrappy Scarves
I followed Joy's Hope to a scrappy scarf tutorial that I thought wasn't too difficult & after discussing it w/ my friend Andrea (she attempted making it first), I went for it.
I had plenty of flannel fabric left over from a nap mat I intended to make.
Darn!
I actually didn't have to purchase anything for these!
I made one for David's daughter, Kathryn.
She absolutely loved it.
I still had plenty of flannel left over.
So, I paired up the fabric & made the girls each one.
(The 2 on the left & the 2 on the right.)
They are different b/c I don't want them to have identicals.
It will probably bite me in the butt later.
But until then, I hope they enjoy them.
For a very long time to come!
I embroidered their names on them.
That's another one that will bite me in the butt.
Gabi will want Sofi's or vice versa.
Can't say that I'll be selling these.
The time put in was pretty significant.
PS ~ Like the photography?
Yeah, that's my new camera for you.
Nikon D3000 BABY!
