Fashion Forward Friday ~ Week 2

I'm really starting to enjoy Fashion Forward Friday.
{read more about FFF HERE}
I had this particular fabric set aside for just this idea.

Isn't it awesome?
Want the fabric for yourself?
It is from Riley Blake's Chevron collection and you can purchase it HERE
as our favorite Skye Reve Fabrics has sold out.

I paired it with awesome navy blue polka dots.
Again, from Riley Blake.
I knew I wanted this to be a little more subtle so that is why I chose
the navy blue rather than the red or orange to accent with.

Here is what one lucky little girl will be wearing.

And let me show you a close up of the pretty bow.
You know we love us some Melbows Place!

Here is the rundown on what I did with the basic peasant dress.
~ Cut the sleeves at the 1/2 way point and added a ruffle.
~ Added ruching right above the sleeve.
~ Added ruffling at the bottom of the dress.
~ Added a "squiggle" ruching on the bottom of the dress.

Andrea and I love being challenged and we often talk
about what our next design is going to be.
Andrea is up next and I think you all are going to LOVE what she makes.

And...in other blogging news,
I hope to have a few tutorials up sometime this month.
I just wish I had more time!

Anyone know where I can find 48 hours in a day?
It would be much appreciated!

Happy Monday Peeps!

Project Charlie Single Auction Piece ~ Stones in Blue

I absolutely fell in love with this fabric.
{Rocky Shore by Lotta Jansdotter if you want to purchase it}
I decided to create a new design element, an embellishment.
The detachable bow adds a 70's vintage flare to the piece.

The best part?
The bow is pinned on which means you can take it off!
And I have this one RTS in a size 4T.
But I will tell you this, my daughter is a size 6 and fit comfortably.
I even like the shorter length on her!

Today only, I am auctioning this piece.
Starting bid is $30.
Anything over will go to Project Charlie.

Want a chance to win this piece?
Come on over to our Facebook page and put in your bid!
HERE is the photo, just comment below.

The colors are beautiful.
The style is timeless.
You know you want this for your little girl
Or give it as a present and help a good cause!

Happy Friday Peeps!

The Millie Skirt Pattern

I finally got the pattern done!
And the testers have tested it for me.
So tomorrow, I make the corrections and start
selling both the toddler and the tween version.

I really like this skirt.
It may be my favorite one yet.
And I have a plan for a modified women's version.
As a matter of fact, tomorrow I try to make one for me.
Then I need testers for women's sizes minus me (size 6/8).

Next on the list is the Millie Dress, or so I think.
Either that or a new peasant dress I have come up with.
Can't decide.

Hope you all are having a fabulous Monday!
